Each month, Shop in RI Magazine profiles one member of “The Dream Team,” a weekly networking group that meets in Smithfield. This month, we feature Chris Colarusso of Paynada in Hanover, Massachusetts.
His business specializes in credit card processing for numerous business ventures. He uses a number of area processing units to provide clients with ways of generating revenue while providing excellent service between vendors and their customers. While he has been involved with the industry for some time, Chris has been planning to expand.
He believes there are numerous opportunities for him to grow his business.
“My business specializes in implementing dual-pricing, in which a small convenience fee is passed onto the customer. This fee offsets the credit card processing fee for the business owner.” he said. “If the customer pays with cash, then they receive a discount.
“I see a lot of ways in which my experience can open doors toward creating revenue streams,” Chris added.
He is moving towards having his own company, CLC Consulting, also in Hanover. He believes that by going out on his own, Chris can devote more time toward helping more customers.
A wonderful client for Chris would be small, medium and large ventures. He is targeting a wide array of industries, ranging from towing companies and food trucks to cannabis and pest control facilities.

As for joining The Dream Team, Chris cites member Corey Phinney for inviting him to a meeting. Since becoming a member eight months ago, he knows first-hand how impactful the group has become to his company.
“I knew Corey a long time,” he said. “He said I should start coming to these meetings. It has been a wonderful experience and has been very helpful in growing my business. It is worth the time driving from the South Shore to attend every week!”
“The Dream Team” currently has 40 members and growing. They meet every Wednesday morning from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM at the Home2Suites Hilton on Douglas Pike in Smithfield, across from Laura’s Bar and Grill. The group is looking to grow its team and is interested in meeting professionals from various businesses looking to connect and help each other grow through referral business. Dream Team is all about, “Friends helping Friends.”
