CELEBRATING RHODE ISLAND’S UNIQUE OYSTER CULTURE

On October 5, 2024, the Oyster Festival will be held at its NEW LOCATION:

195 District Park in Providence

The 10th Annual Ocean State Oyster Festival takes place on Saturday, Oct. 5th, 1–8pm, featuring 16 Rhode Island oyster farms, live music, craft beer & wine, and food trucks, at 195 District Park, next to the Pedestrian Walk Bridge, along the Providence River.

Tickets are $15 per person.

Oyster + drink tickets available for purchase separately.

There is no rain date; this is a weather permitting event.  If the festival is canceled due to inclement weather, ticket costs will be refunded.

Tickets for children/teens 14 and under are FREE.

In the fall each year, it’s the perfect time to get together with family and friends to celebrate and recognize the oyster as a treasured natural resource in Rhode Island, with the largest collection of oyster farms from the Ocean State assembled at one time; partner with the Nature Conservancy of R.I. to rebuild natural habitat reefs; and help support the

Ocean State Aquaculture Association.

The Association’s hope is that together, we can help sustain this important and lasting legacy by supporting our local oyster farmers and their ecosystem in Narragansett Bay and its estuaries!

The Ocean State Oyster Festival’s goal is to help honor and preserve this legacy.

The Ocean State Oyster Festival aims to:

Raise awareness of, and celebrate Rhode Island’s aquaculture industry;

Provide a platform that helps expand Rhode Island’s Aquaculture Economy; Support education programs for the public on the environmental sustainability of Narragansett Bay.

PARTNERS & SPONSORS:  City of Providence Arts, Culture & Tourism :: Frank’s Tent & Party Equipment Rentals :: Nature Conservancy of RI :: Ocean State Aquaculture Association

There’s plenty of on-street parking available around 195 District Park and garage parking next to the park on Eddy Street. There will be a handicapped drop-off spot on Dyer Street, adjacent to the festival site, as well.
