“Bee” Organized in Business & Life

There are not enough hours in the day to ensure either a home or office is functional and efficient. Too many activities take priority over a chore most people out off until it absolutely needs to be done.

That is where Stephanie Robinson, Owner of Bee Organized in Rhode Island, can help. She and her team organize spaces to create customized, sustainable solutions. I sat with her to better understand her business and why anyone who hates organizing should consider her services.

Why did you get into the organizing/decluttering business?

“After I had my son in 2017, I noticed how much I loved keeping his room and playroom functionally organized. I didn’t know much about professional organizing and was just having fun creating systems in my own home. Once I found out about that people organize as a career, I wanted to be a part of it, so I started researching franchises and found Bee

Organized.”

How did you land your current position?

“After my initial discovery call with our Main Hive, I was so excited that I had found what I was meant to do but had major doubts about my capabilities and being a business owner. After much encouragement from the Main Hive, family and especially my husband, Craig, I decided to go for it.”

What types of clients do you serve? Are you just confined to Rhode Island? Or, do you work in other states?

“We serve all of RI and will have projects in MA and CT occasionally. With the variety of services we offer, we have been fortunate to have worked with so many different types of people. Making organizing as accessible as we can to everyone has been our mission from the start.

“We work a lot with the neurodivergent community and we’re always a safe space for our friends in the LGBTQ community. We’ve done pro-bono projects for nonprofits and love to contribute to our community wherever we can.”

What types of organizing do you specialize in (clean-outs, attics, sporting equipment, books, etc.)?

“I think by now we have touched every space you can think of, plus some surprising spaces that I never would have thought of without our amazing clients! Of course, we’ve organized kitchens, pantries, closets of every type, garages, sheds, offices, supply rooms, etc., but we’ve also organized storage units, a party supply room and created closets from a guest space. As for my personal preference, I love doing kids spaces, especially playrooms.”

How are your services different from those in your industry?

“At the heart of our work are three core values, our BEE-liefs, that shape everything we do:

Compassion. The people who call us are often carrying more than just clutter. Some are navigating the grief of losing a loved one and facing the overwhelming task of sorting through their belongings. Others are leaving a home they’ve lived in for decades, trading familiar surroundings for a new chapter in senior living. Our Bees recognize the emotional weight behind every box, every room, and every decision and to meet each client with the kindness that moment deserves.

Confidentiality. Trust is everything in this work. When a client invites us into their home, they’re placing enormous faith in our team. Our Bees honor that trust completely. What happens in a client’s home stays there, always.

Non-Judgement. This may be the most important BEE-lief of all. For some, it takes real courage to make that first call. Many of our clients are worried about how we’ll react when we walk through the door and we want them to know that we’re not here to judge, we’re here to help. We care about the people in front of us, not the state of the space around them. Our clients deserve to look forward, not backward and we make sure they feel that from the very first conversation.”

What misconceptions might people have in using someone in this field?

“That we will pressure you into getting rid of things! Yes, we help you purge – it’s essential to our method – but we help you decide what no longer serves you to make room for keeping the important stuff.”

What type of client are you looking for?

“We work with all kinds of people!”
